Building a Treehouse in Minecraft: A Complete Guide from Framework to Decoration

Monday traffic is always exceptionally congested. I’m really getting squeezed to the limit. Hardworking adventurers heading to work or school, you’ve had a tough day! Have you ever fantasized about leaving the noisy city behind and moving into the forest to live a pastoral, healing life?

Today’s treehouse tutorial can help realize that fantasy~

Forest Dweller’s Treehouse

This build is located at the border between a jungle and plains. It’s convenient for capturing the scenery of tall trees, and the flat terrain makes construction easier~

After clearing the ground, plant 5 large trees at the positions indicated below (place four 2×2 saplings and use bone meal, making sure there are no other plants or flowers near the saplings). Since tree growth is random, adventurers can adjust based on the actual situation~

Using the guide below, lay the treehouse floor with Stripped Dark Oak Logs. The floor width is 7 blocks.

After laying the floor, build the support beams underneath using Birch Slabs. Note to extend one block outward at the ends.

Following the guide below, build the pillars using Stripped Spruce Logs. Then connect the tops of the pillars with Stripped Spruce Logs. The basic framework of the large treehouse is now complete.

The construction method and materials for the small treehouse frame are the same as the large treehouse. Follow the guide below~

The roof is also very simple to lay. Place campfires all facing the same direction and then extinguish them. Remember to extend one block beyond the edge. If campfires would overlap with leaves or branches, you can choose to keep the leaves/branches.

The soul of a treehouse is its beautiful windows. First, on the left window on the front of the large treehouse, place 5 Lecterns. Then place a Spruce Trapdoor on each lectern.

Place a row of Oak Fence Gates above the window area. Then, while holding the sneak key, hang blue and white banners on the fence gates.

For the second window type, first use Stripped Spruce Logs to build two pillars on the left and right sides of the window. Then, place a row of upside-down Spruce Stairs (facing outward) at the top. Below these stairs, place a row of Oak Fence Gates.

Place a row of Spruce Trapdoors along the bottom edge of the window. After placing them, on the two outermost trapdoors, place Oak Fences 3 blocks high. Finally, run a row of Spruce Trapdoors along the top of the fences. The second window type is also complete~

Leave a 2-block high small window on the left side of the house, decorated simply with Spruce Trapdoors~

The window at the back of the house uses a third decorative style, the simplest and most practical one. For this 3-block high window, fill the first row with upside-down Spruce Stairs, and the second and third rows with Spruce Trapdoors.

The staircase is also a treehouse feature. Build an upward-extending basic skeleton using Oak Fences. Then, use Oak Slabs to create 3-block wide steps on the fences. Note to expand the corners into two-block wide platforms.

Surround the large treehouse’s right-side balcony with Oak Fences. Connect the four corners to the roof with Oak Fences. Place a circle of Oak Fence Gates near the roof. The main door uses a Spruce Door.

Finally, following the previous methods, install the windows for the small treehouse. The overall treehouse structure is now complete~

Let’s add some rustic decorations~ Like a swing. Find a suitable branch. At your desired height, place two Grindstones. Build two long Oak Fence pillars downwards from them. At a position one block above the ground on the pillars, place 3 Spruce Trapdoors side by side. Don’t forget to add a backrest.

A warm hot spring also brings happiness. First, pre-bury a few campfires two blocks below ground level. Then dig a small, irregularly shaped pond, fill it with water, and pave a stone path in the pond using cobblestone.

A bonfire area for sitting around is also a good choice. Simply arrange campfires and Spruce Trapdoors as shown below for a nice effect~

Spread irregular grass paths in the yard. Then decorate with wheat, sweet berry bushes, jungle leaves, etc. Also add some light sources and plant decorations to the main house~

The interior decoration can mostly follow personal preference~ I only did simple decorations. I wonder what better ideas you adventurers might have?

Speaking of a good harvest amid the fragrance of rice paddies, let’s bid temporary farewell to the city’s noise and enjoy the healing power of nature~
